Every Drop Counts

Climate Resilience starts with Water

Every drop counts in a world where the access to water resources is unequally distributed and the uncertainty of precipitation rises with climate change and environmental degradation. The German development cooperation strives to achieve SDG 6, ensuring the availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all. Among the manifold targets of the 2030 Agenda, this endeavor may only be successful with strong interlinkages to likeminded disciplines and sectors, such as climate and environment.

Water-Climate Report

In cooperation with the Potsdam Institute on Climate Impact Research (PIK) and adelphi, the German development cooperation portrays interlinkages and provides prospects for future action. The significance of water in greenhouse gas mitigation and for the achievement of international climate and development goals becomes evident.
